The Destruction of the Stone Idols by ISIS - Bible

The Daily Mail has published again the destruction taking place of the stone relics and sculptures by ISIS and you can read more about this in the article posted below iwth a video.

Last week ISIS extremists targeted a museum in Mosul by using power drills and sledge hammers to destroy artefacts, sparking global outrage

Of the destruction that is taking place....The bible writes:

"I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you will have fortune-tellers no more."I will cut off your carved images And your sacred pillars from among you, So that you will no longer bow down To the work of your hands."I will root out your Asherim from among you And destroy your cities.…Micah 5:12-14

Their heart is deceitful, and now they must bear their guilt. The LORD will demolish their altars and destroy their sacred stones. Hosea 10:2

The LORD has given a command concerning you, Nineveh: "You will have no descendants to bear your name. I will destroy the images and idols that are in the temple of your gods. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile." Nahum 1:14

There is a reason why this is happening...why suddenly now and not over the millennia. This is a reaction to something and a sign of overturning taking place. I am not going to analyze this. Just share:

It is also written in the commentary to understand.

The remnant of Israel, converted to Christ in the primitive times, were among many nations as the drops of dew, and were made instruments in calling a large increase of spiritual worshippers. But to those who neglected or opposed this salvation, they would, as lions, cause terror, their doctrine condemning them. The Lord also declares that he would cause not only the reformation of the Jews, but the purification of the Christian church. In like manner shall we be assured of victory in our personal conflicts, as we simply depend upon the Lord our salvation, worship him, and serve him with diligence. (Micah 5:7-15 commentary)

Peace be with you
