Just the other day I was looking at the ships from older days with their many sails...how technical minds have made these vessels and structured the sails to voyage on the seas is quite phenomenal, as last for me. Just some things in life are facinating...how the early navigators travelled the world and charted the seas...monitoring the stars and angles....recording distances.. ~We take the atlas for granted.
The Daily Mail writes : The beautiful ships looked liked they had sailed out of a Turner painting. This ship is named Thalassa, in Greek meaning Sea and so at this point, we are showing where two seas are meeting together in one spot...

Over 280 were gathered sailing on 19 vessels in the first time a Tall Ships Race had started and finishd in a UK port. (With Newport being in the news these days, not a coincidence this is happening too)

James Stevens, Chairman, Sail Training International and ASTO, said, "I was delighted that our Patron HRH The Countess of Wessex met many of our trainees and also attended the ASTO reception on board the Jubilee Sailing Trust's accessible tall ship Tenacious to congratulate the ASTO skippers. They achieved great results in the race and do vital work providing challenge and adventure for young people.”

'After the death of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother in 2002, Sophie became the second highest-ranking woman in the U.K.'s order of precedence, preceded only by the Queen, as her brothers-in-law, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of York, were then unmarried. The map of the South Kingdom of Wessex includes Somerset, where in ancient times Jesus was said to have walked. More than 200 miles away he has visited land named connected. Cornwall is also visible, a 7 year old child in 2012, had a dream with Jesus having a home in Cornwall - With Prince Charles holding the title Duke of Cornwall, it is unknown if the British Royal family eagerly wait for Christ to return.
With the international gathering taking place in UK this week, in Newport Wales and Cardiff Castle, in the Port is the international gathering of ships participating in this festival race too. There is certainly a lot going on.....there is also a rise of oppressive laws taking place in the UK, with justified concern.
