When Jesus says 'You cannot serve two Masters' - He knows.
We cannot serve two Masters. We are not meant to.
Not everyone made their wealth honestly, or if their abundance of gains is clean money. The sack of cash could be a concrete block holding down the preserver from evolving spiritually.
Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Matthew 19:28
