Greek PM Tsipras: The Government Will Not Succumb to Unreasonable Demands

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras sent a message to Greece’s creditors that the government will not succumb to unreasonable demands, during an interview with Real News, on Sunday, January 3.

“We will fully meet our commitments, but we will not accept injustices,” he underlined.

The Greek prime minister said “a new page will open for Greece”, after six years of recession.  “In 2016, Greece will exit the crisis and will recover,” he stressed adding that major institutional reforms will also be implemented.

Regarding the scenarios for an ecumenical government, he described them as a “midsummer night dream,” assuring that the parliamentary majority is firm and that the government will complete its four-year term. He added that these scenarios are promoted by the bankrupt political system and will be proven wrong.

He estimated that the deputies that will vote for the bill on the social security reforms will be more than 153. “The voting of the bill is a vote of confidence to the next generations that are entitled to social protection,” he stressed.

When someone is serious about not giving in to unreasonable demands, we must ask if also there is blackmail involved - pressure, coercion, duress...and what about this contract that was implemented in the first place.  There is surely a lot more happening in our world that even I do not know about...

Remembering an article stating that David Cameron had no intention to return the stolen Acropolis Marbles - rather arrogant indeed.... perhaps arrogance and bully tactics is how those who rule by deception thrive. If you are asked to pray for those in authority - pray that they do right by the people.

This morning I woke thinking - history has known takeovers of land and also masses of people have been slaughtered too...The truth cannot be hidden as with the Saints that are also named. We live in a time where people should be able to be free to live their life, and survive and thrive...not live in fear.

Enforcing debt as a weapon, is this not also a mindset who prevent progress in society. Even placing a very high cost to be educated - this will not stop learning skills and praying or the evolving process too.

While I do not actually know what happening and being discussed behind closed  doors. it takes an ethical intelligence and solution focussed mind to identify workable strategies to overcome difficulties. This would mean exploring possibilities before proceeding to the most workable outcome...
