Empowering People is a Vocation - Rise Above

Coming across this Martell Cognac commercial is for a reason to share. There are people who lack the confidence to do what they really want to do. There are people who feel blocked - often experienced by artists and writers. The greatest orators can get up on a stage and deliver something that really does mean something to the audience.



It takes courage to stand up in front of a crowd and quiet confidence to know you can do it. There might be apprehension of acceptance of other people. Perhaps not thinking that you are not good enough. One of the reasons I was put off from public speaking, is because I am aware of the power of words and suggestion to other people. Once we say something out loud - we cannot retract our words. Thought and words carry energy.

Artists, musicians, songwriters and conductors are people who are using their skill and direction to bring a finished product to people. Actors have spoken of having stage fright and yet they have this adrenalyn rush once they are out there. There are singers with great voices who may never sing their song in public, because of shyness and nerves. XFactor is changing that!

Not wanting to be famous or even in the public eye, I recognise the gifts and talents of other people. I am seeing people with strengths that they do not realise have value, strengths given for a reason. I am seeing people who give up before they start. If we keep giving up, we will never succeed in anything. I am seeing lip service leaders - people who want to be on stage in positions of power, yet do not empower people to realise their potential.

The 2013 message is to realise your personal potential and to fulfill it. If you are to soar beyond your dreams, it will be because you found your wings to fly. When you rise above the limiations that have been set by other people and what you have allowed yourself to learn, you set new goals, inspire possibilities and encourage other people to grow too.
