Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson & Sandy Hook Choir
With the Daily Mail stories with the NFL Supwer Bowl 2013, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson also the Sandy Hook Elementary School Choir shared from their heart, their voice in a song that every American knows. Sharing with love.
"Respect: San Francisco 49ers defensive end Tony Jerod-Eddie, left, wears a sticker on his helmet for victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn., as he stands on the field"
"Emotional: Bringing tears to the eyes of the players of the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers, the spine-tingling collaboration was followed by Alicia Keys who played out the national anthem on the pitch from behind a white piano"
The children of Sandy Hook Elementary School had experienced trauma with mass shooting stealing so many little ones lives prematurely. After all they have been through, not so long ago, to come and sing in front of such a massive audience, shows courage and has built on their confidence for the future. I am deeply touched and moved to ears with both these performances; especially in seeing how far a country of many different states unite as one - this is an important focus to maintain.
Brave children from Sandy Hook Elementary School take the field with singer Jennifer Hudson for an emotional performance.
America the Beautiful
Words by Katharine Lee Bates,
Melody by Samuel Ward
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!
O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!
O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!
"Job well done: The Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus looked jubilant as they left the field following their heartfelt performance"
Also Alicia Keys dressed in a long crimson gown, playing a white Yamaha piano. The position the chair is placed is over the ball and showing that she is also another central figure in this arena, particularly compounding the message the National Anthem means to all people in the land and American's around the world. Energy focus empowers the focus.
As more people are listening and realising there has been a long history that has been filled with oppression war and strive, humanity has come a long way since these times. There is still work to be done, and it is with conscientious prayer and focus - trusting that Our God, will help as He knows how.
You may notice that Alicia is singing with her eyes closed, It might be because she wants to feeel the lyrics more intensely and this being reflected in her voice. However, with her eyes closed, she is detracting from herself even with such a captivating stage impact because her song is for all people, from her heart she is singing this too. It is not just a perfomance, but a living experience in expressing deep and heartfelt feelings for the love and passion for America and the land.
Here are the lyrics of the American National Anthem
Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:
Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In fully glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution!
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Oh, thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust":
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Remembering the move at Christmas about Miracles and the little girl walked into a courtroom to challenge the judge about the Dollar where it is written 'In God We Trust' - Without God there is no hope. And when we realise there is no hope, something happens to say actually there is 'if' we completely trust in Him. America's loving hearts make you a STRONG NATION!
A few years ago a white piano featured in my dream with a man seated on the stool, We were talking together. We knew eachother and were not in contact for years. Then about two years later I was told his wife died. Her husband had bought her a white Queen's piano just a couple of months before for her birthday as a surprise. She did not live long to enjoy this. A white piano featured in Heath Hall and also house built for Jesus Christ return in New York.
In my experience of seeing how when something does not work out, there is always something else. We will all make many mistakes in life, yet if we are sincere in getting it right, we are given many chances. We are not perfect - we must also accept that everyone else is learning lessons. The Oath of Office is taken very seriously in America and in public. This is an example that should be set for all officials to show that they are sincere in their oath, and realise that we cannot abuse an oath to cause someone's downfall. Where there is a situation with hundreds, thousands or millions of lives expected and something is not, it must be addressed. The people who are ethical and conscientious, did not get to the top without reason.
A structure in society that works for the people, can work with the people. And when I listened to what President Obama had to say in his 44th Presidential speach, with witnessing the unity of people, this can be built on.
Peace, Love and best wishes
