A couple of days ago I started this article - that I must share here.
We are fortunate in this time to be able to access the holy scriptures just by typing in a few words in the search engine - I am using Google for this. There is also a particular website that often I refer to and to go directly to the link that is http://www.openbible.info/topics/
On Google the words on this occasion that I type are two 'Bible Flood'
These are the written words in translation that I have decided to share and discuss here - to show that the scriptures are a collection of books of history, warnings, laws, royal decrees and prophesies. All these prophesies are happening for a reason - as the wrath of God is for a reason too. As there are promises made to people: the holy covenant.
For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die. Genesis 6:17
Did already a great flood come where everyone and everything on earth was killed except for those who were on the ark instructed by God for Noah to build?
If he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 2 Peter 2:5
Is a warning given that the ungodly and wicked might not be spared?
For he commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths; their courage melted away in their evil plight; they reeled and staggered like drunken men and were at their wits' end. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. ... Psalm 107:25-30
Is this not indicating that God stopped the waves only when they cried out to God and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm still and the waves of the sea hushed.
They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Luke 17:27
Is this not indicating that no one would know about the flood until it came - people were going about their lives, celebrating, socialising and marrying - then those who were to be saved were taking to enter the ark with the animals to continue the animal kingdom too.
Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. Luke 17:26
In this time the son of man is to be revealed.
Because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. Peter 3:20
Has not a Dutch man been inspired to built another ark that the dimensions were found in the Holy Bible after having a dream...it has served so far as a warning and to remember.
The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.” Acts 17:30-31
The scripture is really clear about this. Jesus was raised alive again.
But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided. The fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained, and the waters receded from the earth continually. At the end of 150 days the waters had abated, and in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. And the waters continued to abate until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen. ...Genesis 8:1-22
This geographical location is this highest Armenian mountain in Turkey, It is from here that the people will have come down and they were also given laws to live by.
Mount Ararat is seen near to the Armenian border and Iran.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
As we are in the end times, this is the promise given to people.
And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. Matthew 24:22
References to the past and the future...Will Be...So the scripture indicate that these days will be cut short so that the elect can be saved....as they have a role to save other souls but calling out repentance and return to the right way to Worship the LORD and Obey God.
The holy covenant is mentioned above, It is written:
And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9:12-13
The bow that is referred to here is the rainbow...
“This is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you. Isaiah 54:9
God has made his promise here - that as in history the waters destroyed all life, and with a vast amount of our planet being water, it is quite possible with the warning that he could do it again. However the scriptures indicate that he will forgive and will not rebuke us.
The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring. Psalm 93:3
The water is raised up with waters communicating in this way.
But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36
Tribulation is foretold; deluge is also foretold with Jesus return.
He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they took to flight. The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them. Psalm 104:8
We are given indication here that at the rebuke of God the sound of thunder came - as with the mountains being raised and the valleys that sank down. Consider this carefully.
Revelation 12 also discusses something we cannot ignore.
