The Divorce Dress With a Powerful Message
Demi Barnes - a student at Lingfield Notre Dame School in Surrey has designed a dress to represent the notion that too many people rush into getting married and end up getting divorced. The dress is made out of annulment papers.
'The divorce dress' used annulment papers in a bid to be 'ironic'
Demi Barnes created the stunning dress as part of her GCSE art exam. Within days of posting a photograph on facebook to her cousin in Italy, the Daily Mail report the dress had 40,000 likes. That is 40,000 people who are waking up.
The 'ironic' wedding dress has attracted interest from major fashion designers.
The schoolgirl was inspired by the iconic gown of Princess Diana
With inspired work - the truth often comes to light - hidden and blatant messages.
Marriage for all the right reasons in the first place, ensures a foundation is laid down that can be built on. When people have married for convenience to maintain, or secure wealth, the marriage might never have deep and loving bonds.
Annulment dissolves a marriage; indicating that the marriage never happened.
For a marriage to have never happened, there would be no intimacy between husband and wife and no children from this union 'unless born from artificial insemination or IVF' - a popular choice today. Designer babies menu will be next!
Charles was crowned Prince of Wales in 1969 with authority to make and change laws. Charles and Camilla married in The Windsor Guildhall (A hall where a guild or corporation usually assembles) about 100 metres from Castle Hill, leading to the main public entrance to Windsor Castle. This was followed by a blessing at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
The divorce dress is a reminder that saying wedding vows is an oath to God. Divorce is made easy with the 'help of lawyers. Not everyone wants a disposable marriage or a marriage of convenience. A relationship is two way.
Most couples have known challenge, arguments, struggle and at times done without. Without challenge relationships would not grow. Marriages are torn apart by temptation and with attention taken elsewhere.
The dress designers of the Diana dresses eventually divorced. Many divorcees sit in the psychotherapy chair and wish they never divorced - not everyone communicates honestly with their partner. The clock cannot be turned back!
The wedding dress designing business is not obsolete yet. The creative minds are giving people food for thought. Common sense should be saying marry for all the right reasons with someone you envisage sharing your life with.
Rvery wedding should be a royal wedding - a Prince marring his Princess. The most successful marriages have a very solid friendship foundation. Shared values, shared goals and building loving emotional bonds
Wishing Demi every success in the career the door is opening....
Peace, love and best wishes
