A tapestry of diversity that has been the homeland of the people who are anointed by God to unite people in peace, have all had a connection to this land.
Three young girls - one Christian, one Jewish and one Muslim have been chosen to work with National Geographic to bring what will be a most profoundly informative visual experiences to people, most who might not have the opportunity to travel to Jerusalem.
The film makers of 'Jerusalem' were granted special rights to film using low-altitude planes to capture stunning hi-definition images of one of the oldest cities in the world.
The Daily Mail has published a number of photographs to share. Each photograph is identified and named with the photograph signature 2013 Jerusalem US LP.
'The sun rises over the Mount of Olives, framed between the Al-Khanqah al-Salahiyya Mosque on the left and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on the right'
The Mount of Olives is where Christ went to pray and for quiet solitude. In the ancient times, Athena gifted the people the olive tree. Christ and Athena have an eternal bond. A spiritual connection continues through the generations within each family.
'Tens of thousands of Jewish pilgrims congregate at the Western Wall during Passover for the Birkat Kohanim, meaning 'Priestly Blessing'
The Passover is when the Israelites were led out of slavery in Egypt and brought to the new land, known as the Holy Land. Moses, Aaron and Miriam, their sister were all divinely guided and God chose Moses to be the leader of the people of the time.
Passover is also indicating the passing over of authority - from the Egyptian Pharaoh, God placed Moses in the authority with trust shown by giving him His Law too.
'The Western Wall plaza illuminated at night'
The Western Wall is at the foot of the Temple Mount. Here is a site for Jewish prayer and pilgrimage for centuries. It is here the foundation stone was laid for the new Kingdom - the Kingdom of Jerusalem and the Holy Land that was ruled under God Almighty.
'Musicians lead a Bar Mitzvah boy towards the Western Wall'
Throughout history, Jerusalem has been fought over more than any other place in history; conquered and destroyed, rebuilt and reinvented. What remains to this day is both a thriving modern city and a living museum to over 5,000 years of history.
Man has known the King of Israel is King of the World, because the Isrealites are scattered throughout the world. People who are ruled by God cannot serve two masters.
'Muslim women from nearby villages on their way to noon prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan'
'A breathtaking aerial view of Masada, once a mountain fortress built by order of Herod the Great during the 1st Century BC'
Every Muslim is told to submit to God. All the extremism that has taken place is by people who do not abide by the law given by Muhammad and evidently ignore The Authority of God. A Letter at the Greek Orthodox Monastery at Mount Sinai, from Muhammad is signed by witnesses is one every Muslim needs to know about - read and understand. Be blessed.
'A Greek Orthodox youth choir from the town of Beit Sahour sings in Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, built on the traditional site where Jesus was born'
All the holy sites have specific significance to identify events that took place in ancient history and connected with the people. Today they remain Holy Sites.
'A group of Armenian Apostolic priests descend the stairs to the Chapel of St Helena in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Tradition holds that Helena, mother to the Emperor Constantine, discovered remnants of the True Cross here in the 4th century AD during the construction of the original church'
A couple of weeks ago I had a dream of a dark haired lady sitting on a throne on a saffron coloured stage outside a church - research took me to discover St. Helen's Church in York (the Archbishop of York crowned Emperor Constantine) St. Helen's in Lancashire connects both these places. Lancashire in the Heart of England is known as Red Rose County.
'An aerial view of the Jordan River, which lies about 30km East of Jerusalem and flows from north of the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea'
It is in the River Jordan that Jesus Christ was Baptised by John - hence the name John the Baptist. John declared himself a forerunner of 'he that would baptize "with the Holy Ghost and with fire" That person is Jesus Christ himself.
Saint John was divinely guided and inspired by God, who delivered the messages to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation. He also wrote to the elect lady.
'An aerial view of the Church of the Beatitudes by the Sea of Galilee near Capernaum, the traditional site where Jesus gave his Sermon on the Mount as told in the New Testament' 'In Christianity, the Beatitudes are the set of teachings by Jesus that begin "
'The Dome of the Rock, one of the old and holiest sites in Islam' The Dome of the Rock is built over where Muhammad, to my understanding, had a dream of heaven (a night journey) and was told to tell people to pray to Allah - God Almighty.
People say also it is where Muhammad ascended up to heaven. What I can say for certain, Muhammad appeared in my dream after a prayer to be guided to bring peace between Muslims and Christians. In my dream, he appeared 'as if alive' standing on a grassy hill surrounded by light blue water. The following day I found his letter at Mount Sinai.
The dome roof is found on Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Hagia Sophia, St. Pauls, St. Peters and others - there is no competition. The plot is lost if dividing people to turn people against each other. God is God and everyone is under the umbrella of God. No issue.
'A computer-generated recreation of Jerusalem in the 1st century AD, featuring the latest archaeological consensus on what the 2nd Temple might have looked like'
The article writes about the three girls sharing their understanding about the Holy places. 'From the Damascus Gate and the Dome of the Rock, to the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the girls each reveal the Holy City from their own perspective.
‘What was really amazing was that they would bring me to some of the same places in the city and tell me entirely different things,' said Feriguson.
'Revital would point out Jewish history, but when I asked her if she knew about the Christian or Muslim attachment to the same places, she didn’t. The same was true of the other girls.'
'A rare view of the rock at the center of the Dome of the Rock. Muslims refer to it as 'as-Sakrah', the rock from where they believe the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven. In Jewish tradition, it known as 'the Foundation Stone,' where Abraham prepared to sacrifice his son and where the Temples stood. Many historians believe the biblical Jebusites worshiped here nearly 5000 years ago'
It is quite possible this is where Muhammed ascended into heaven for God has a way to maintain his truth and make sure people understand. One important lesson for everyone to learn is the story recalled about Abraham being tested in his obedience to God and follow his precise instruction. This was a severe test to see if he would kill his only son. In the last moment a ram appeared to be sacrificed instead.
If anyone would kill their own child, they might easily kill other people and their children too. It is absolutely forbidden by God to kill anyone. Take the example of what happened to Jesus Christ - he was killed. God showed His Authority - Jesus was resurrected.
'Dawn over the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Jerusalem's Old City'. The focus is on the upper windows and the dome with the cross on top. The sky while appearing cloudy - with dark grey in the distance, shows over the church a clearing and sunlight.
The top of the dome is like the top of an orb held by a monarch with the cross. Also on top of the Imperial Crown is an orb with a cross too. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Jerusalem and all the Patriarchs are serving him.
In the Eastern Orthodox Church people are encouraged to be divinely guided. In our baptism as babies we are given the Gift of the Holy Spirit to be divinely guided. It is a choice to seek in prayer and even taking notice of when messages are being given.
In this video at one point is hundreds of people with flames. Miracle of the Holy Fire (Holy Light) happens in Jerusalem.
This light does not burn. The Holy light descends with prayers by the Patriarch in the tomb chamber where Jesus Christ was raised - resurrected from the dead. Not only does the Holy Light emerge in the tomb chamber, candles of people of faith outside sometimes lit too. Jesus Christ became alive then and walked this earth before being raised up and taken to heaven. In these Biblical times the people in the Holy Land treasure this because we all know that Jesus Christ is alive and ruling from the heavens too.
'A Tokes (which literally means 'blaster') blows into a shofar in the Congliano Synagogue in Jerusalem to announce the Jewish New Year' This year 2013 this New Year began from sunset, September 4 – nightfall, September 6 Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year also known as the Feast of Trumpets according to the correct biblical calendar of the 1st and 2nd temple period. The first day is believed to be the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, and their first actions toward the realization of mankind's role in God's world. This is a time known of the Ten Days of Repentance. 'Throughout its checkered history, Jerusalem has been fought over more than any other place in history; conquered and destroyed, rebuilt and reinvented and remains to this day both a thriving modern city and a living museum to over 5,000 years of history' It is easy to see the people who are sincere in their faith. The people who want to conquer to own - to possess, to oppress, to destroy, to cause injustice need to examine if they really are the representatives of God on this earth. Jerusalem is to remind people that God rules this earth. 'Built into a canyon in the Judean Desert, the Mar Saba Monastery was founded by the Greek Orthodox monk, Saint Sabas, in the 5th century AC, and is still inhabited today' 'A Tokes (which literally means 'blaster') blows into a shofar in the Congliano Synagogue in Jerusalem to announce the Jewish New Year.' In 2013, the New Year Rosh Hashanah started from sundown on Sept. 4 to nightfall on Sept. 6. This time is also known as the Feast of the Trumpets. This day commemorates when Adam and Eve were created. This is a time for praying, persoanl reflection and repentance. 'The Jewish calendar is based on the lunar cycle, so that the first day of each month originally began with the first sighting of a new moon, since the fourth century it has been arranged so that Rosh Hashanah never falls on a Sunday, Wednesday, or Friday' 'Throughout its checkered history, Jerusalem has been fought over more than any other place in history; conquered and destroyed, rebuilt and reinvented and remains to this day both a thriving modern city and a living museum to over 5,000 years of history' 'Built into a canyon in the Judean Desert, the Mar Saba Monastery was founded by the Greek Orthodox monk, Saint Sabas, in the 5th century AC, and is still inhabited today' Jerusalem is a no fly zone and yet for the making of 'Jerusalem' permission was granted. This will give the viewer the opportunity to see that actually Jerusalem is made up of different cultures and faiths all in one God - the God of Israel. Not seeing 'Jerusalem' or visiting in person, I cannot comment on the film made or any of the interviews although the original article discusses this and more. The opportunity to share photographs that have been provided in the Daily Mail is also reflecting my personal interest in this case. Just thinking of the vast contrast between the modern high tech world and fast living to this place that has been founded on prayer and living with spiritual laws. Something is lost when people stop listening to God. The sheep, the people who belong to Christ are able to his voice. Sometimes the blind do not see what is front of their eyes. There are people who have resentment for the Dome of the Rock and yet do not consider the purpose of this being here or that actually God is for all people. Muslims are sons of Abraham too. Once we realise that actually, not only did the people in history live and bring the people of today the knowledge of God as the authority that rules over this entire world, in seeing the locations being preserved all these years, perhaps might enhance understanding. There is no point quoting scripture if there is nothing to connect this with 'if it does not make sense'. Having spoken to many people in England from different cultures who are non beleivers, this seems to be because the teachers and ministers have failed them. If people do not pray, they are not going to see their prayers heard and answered. 'Al-Masjid al-Aqsa, meaning 'The Furthest Mosque' is one of the three most important sites in Sunni Islam. At its center is the Dome of the Rock. The entire area takes up one sixth of the walled city of Jerusalem' Notice that there are 6 petals on the Star of David. Within Jerusalem there is the Muslim Quarter, Armenian Quarter, Christian Quarter and Jewish Quarter. 'Jerusalem's iconic Citadel (now the Tower of David Museum of the History of Jerusalem) is a fortress with archaeological findings spanning over 2,000 years' Earlier in the year, Israel and America placed side by side the official Declarations of Independence in a 2000 year old stone from Jerusalem. What will be will be. The Daughter of Zion is identified in the The Lord’s Plan “In that day,” declares the Lord, I will gather the lame; I will assemble the exiles and those I have brought to grief. I will make the lame my remnant, those driven away a strong nation. The Lord will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever. As for you, watchtower of the flock, stronghold of Daughter Zion, the former dominion will be restored to you; kingship will come to Daughter Jerusalem.”Micah 4:6-8 The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem was founded by the apostles. The Primate now Theophilos III is Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Provintia Palestina, Syria, beyond the Jordan River, Cana of Galilee, and Holy Zion.
