The Seattle-born beauty, Kendra Salwa Spears age 24, wore a most elegant ivory sari with gold embroidery for her wedding to Prince Rahim Aga Khan, 41, in a traditional Muslim ceremony.
The couple had a short engagement of only four months, before exchanging their vows at the Bellerive Castle in Geneva, Switzerland.
'Just family and close friends attended the private ceremony on the grounds of the Château de Bellerive, overlooking the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. The traditional Muslim ceremony follows in the royal family's custom.'
Prince Rahim's British mother, Princess Salimah Aga Khan, was known as supermodel Sarah Croker-Poole before she married the Aga Kand, although in 1995 theu divorced in 1995. Even so she continues to be known by her married name.
The Aga Khan, 74, then married German former pop star Gabriele Renate Homey in 1998, who took the name Inaara, although they also divorced in 2011.
Prince Rahim's younger brother also married an American model.
It is natural for a Prince to seek a beautiful wife and people who are spiritual and serious, are often with the understanding that when true love is brought your way for life partner, it is by God's helping hand. Prince Rahim is the spiritual leader of the world's Shia Ismaili Muslims.
