Emma Watson UN He for She Campaign

This nervous speech was uploaded yesterday to youtube. Emma Watson best known for starring in Harry Potter is another young girl who has found fame who has been  invited to use her voice to make a positive difference. There is a great movement in our world addressing women's issues and empowering women. Emma addresses the need for gender equality and invites men and boys to join in.

Who said we have to be tough in this world - we have had to become brave, that is for sure. In a land with so many human rights abuses - women's rights has been campaigned for and even donations are being collected, while in England - even justice is spoken about and yet denied to countless people.

Woman have been given a role to carry babies in their womb and if you understood that from the process of
cell division to forming a living baby growing in a womb, that being is responding to the woman. Every child
is learning and responding to the mother and grandmother and while many mothers are very busy and unable to give all their time and attention to a child, there is often someone else.....

The role of women are the nurturers and even being able to multitask, yet often undervalued because 'in a man's world' women have been taken for granted. There has been a trend of competing instead of working together. Men and women can work together as a team. Men do not need to put on a macho front.

There has been a trend of needing to be famous before being listened to and yet the risk is not being taken seriously. Emma Watson is accomplished, she has earned the right to have the stage. Being an actress in a role, as a person what is really important to her evokes nervousness. Nevertheless the reality is that this is not a recent issue of concern. Again the most important barriers to progress must be broken down.

Well done Emma and Thank You for shining your light.

Peace be with you
Pauline Maria.
